The Securities Transfer Association is a highly specialized trade association serving the unique needs of the transfer agent industry. STA represents independent commercial stock transfer agents, corporate transfer agents, bank transfer agents, bond transfer agents, and mutual fund transfer agents in the United States and Canada. Collectively, STA members maintain records of more than 100 million registered shareholders on behalf of more than 15,000 corporate issuers. STA represents its members in dialogue with regulators and industry trade groups, promotes risk management and fraud prevention via STA Medallion Program (STAMP), provides communication and guidance on key industry issues, and facilitates networking and best practices among members.
