Selecting a transfer agent is an important decision, and a well-structured Request for Proposal (RFP) can help organizations evaluate providers more consistently and effectively. To support this process, the Securities Transfer Association (STA) has developed a standardized RFP template for public use. |
About the TemplateAs requests for proposals have become more numerous and increasingly driven by third-parties, STA has created a standardized RFP template for public use. We hope it will accomplish two principal objectives:
The template is foundational, and parties concerned can customize the main body of the template by adding any additional factors relevant to their exploration when applicable. We have not attempted to create an exhaustive document covering every scenario, but rather a document of core questions instrumental for due diligence. |
STA's RoleSTA provides these templates in the interest of transparency and efficiency within the quote process for issuers, procurement firms, and transfer agents. STA is not involved in the collection of responses or the recommendation of firms. STA welcomes feedback on the content and efficacy of the forms and will conduct periodic reviews and updates based on such feedback. | Available DownloadsThe following resources are available for download: |
