The STA Tokenization Committee provides a forum for sharing
and discussing the latest securities tokenization-related issues in or
affecting transfer agent functions, including best practices, proposed and
recently passed legislation, litigation and other issues that can impact the
industry.
The committee’s work includes:
- Participate
in the development of “best practices” and policies;
- Gather
and analyze industry data regarding securities tokenization trends impacting
transfer agent functions and distribute findings to the STA membership and
regulatory agencies where appropriate;
- Identify
areas where the STA can potentially influence regulatory or administrative
policies, or legislative changes, in ways that could positively impact
investors, issuers, industry and operational compliance;
- Address
industry concerns regarding the adoption of securities tokenization in or
associated with transfer agent functions; and
- Liaise
with the appropriate STA committees and external trade associations on
interdisciplinary enrichment and impact, and in promoting the mission of
the Tokenization Committee of the Securities Transfer Association.
